    This journal is mainly inactive. You can still friend/subscribe as it's still being used for daily flist browsing, participation in LJ communities and the like, but it's at elleth that things are really happening. You can subscribe to my DW Journal using Open ID, or if you have a DW journal yourself. When available, I'll also gladly provide DW invite codes to people looking to migrate.

    Elleth tends to be enthusiastic about many things, but her OTF (One True Fandom) is Tolkien's Middle-earth, and will always be. While she loves Lord of the Rings, she loves the Silmarillion even more, and enjoys the Noldor most of all.
    In general, you could carefully express the opinion that her interests mainly focus on the written word: Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, Naomi Novik's Temeraire series, Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next novels, The Walking Dead graphic novels are some of Elleth's long-time favourites. A good book is best appreciated with a cup of tea at hand, so add that to the list. Yes, tea.

    Elleth originally got into fandom thanks to the X-Files, which played an integral part in making her the proud geek-nerd-dork she is today. She adores Firefly and mourns its untimely end. She can sing along (badly) to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. The 5th and 6th Series of the new Doctor Who have filled her with all sorts of inutterable glee, and the TV version of The Walking Dead had her bouncing in her seat, while Game of Thrones had her glued to the screen. So it seems she's on the best way of slipping back into media fandom, too. While not usually a fan of anime, she also recently came to enjoy Cowboy Bebop, and as far as Western Animation goes, Avatar: The Last Airbender is about one of the best in her opinion.

    In Real Life, Elleth is a mid-twenty-ish student of English Language, Literature and Culture as well as Classical Archaeology at Hamburg University, and is owned (and sometimes pwned) by her two cats, Laurelin and Ella aka Elestirne.

    Although she holds the opinion that geeks have no life and as such you cannot be killed (which is an unlooked-for benefit), she asks you to, shhh, kindly ignore the fact that this journal contains a wealth of daily-life posts and navel-gazing, and instead concentrate on recipes, photography picspams, the occasional piece of art or music recommendation, discussions of writing as well as the obligatory fandom posts. Her other interests are many and varied and can be found below.
